Develop and lead the Company’s accounting function to stay ahead of tremendous growth and dynamic landscape. Primary responsibilities include: management of accounting staff, financial accounting, financial reporting, financial controls, core accounting processes, cash management, risk management, and financial compliance. Other duties include fleet management, tax administration, asset management and investor relations.

Position Functions and Responsibilities

Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
  • Develop and maintain financial systems for general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Oversee the month-end close function including the preparation or review of certain tasks
  • Review monthly results and communicate to senior leadership
  • Develop and structure financials to be easily understandable and actionable
  • Support organization scorecard reporting as needed

Treasury & Risk Management

  • Develop processes and systems to determine daily cash position; monitor intra-company funding
  • Forecast daily cash flow and ensure sufficient cash is available for operational and investment needs
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions to maximize positive cash flow
  • Manage payment processing and fraud prevention functions
  • Ensure company is in excellent credit standing
  • Manage financial obligations and lender relationships; provide support regarding negotiations
  • Monitor financial risk management policies and procedures
  • Monitor relevant financial legislation to ensure the organization is compliant
  • Own relationship with insurance brokers and carriers, ensuring appropriate insurance coverage
  • Prepare and submit annual filings to ensure the organization is in good standing

Other Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead accounting staff in daily operations, regular 1:1 meetings, quarterly coaching conversations and performance reviews
  • Hire, train and retain strong performing staff
  • Ensure sufficient financial controls are in place to maximize earned revenue and minimize costs
  • Oversee business and payroll tax setup; advise on tax strategies
  • Oversee the management of all leases (e.g. fleet) and contracts
  • Evaluate and advise on appropriate technology that meets the organization's information requirements, financial data processing and reporting requirements
  • Lead general ledger and organizational setup for new entities
  • Advise on value based payment and other business model changes impacting reimbursement methods
  • Manage investor relations
  • Other ad-hoc requests as needed



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
  • CPA preferred


  • 8+ years of general accounting experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Both public and private experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not required

 Knowledge / Skills:

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle management
  • Financial systems (cloud-based applications experience is a plus)
  • Microsoft Office including intermediate or advanced Excel skills
  • Preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Basic understanding of business & payroll tax
