Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY The Director is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of individual nursing unit(s). Such responsibilities encompass the internal processes of the unit and integration of the unit into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. The Director supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards to all customer groups.
PROVISION OF SERVICES
Demonstrates leadership in the provision of services through a collaborative process designed to integrate services/functions throughout NWTHS. Participates in and supports a process to measure, assess, and improve performance of management, clinical, and/or support services.
A. Maintain accountability for overall processes affecting unit functioning by demonstrating improvement in at least one process or outcome annually with supportive documentation.
B. Maintains regulatory compliance as related to The Joint Commission, Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Board of Nursing.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
3. BSN required or must complete within 2 years
4. Master's degree preferred
5. Appropriate clinical experience
6. 3 - 5 years leadership experience
