The Director, Nursing directs the overall operations of acute Nursing Services. Plans, administers and evaluates the twenty-four hour operation of nursing departments. The position provides leadership and role modeling for delivery of safe, effective and efficient patient care.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or associated nursing theory required. Minimum five years of recent clinical nursing experience plus three years of project leadership experience which includes implementation of strategic initiatives, managing a complex budget, analytical and systems thinking skills to resolve complex issues and problems is required.
Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. Supervisory or managerial experiencepreferred.
Leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and concisely with a wide variety of staff, patients, community residents, outside agencies and organizations.
Computer Skills
Basic computer knowledge, including Excel and Word required.
