As a Director, National Accounts, you will be responsible for creating strategic business and product/service plans to ensure maximum customer appeal and satisfaction while driving membership and gross margin growth. This critical position will provide strategic counseling to key decision makers and oversee and manage a team responsible for account management activities for national accounts. You will support employers whose iconic brands you use every day. They expect and get the best from us. If you have experience developing good business relationships with employers with 5,000+ employees, specific health industry experience and an understanding of health care networks and health insurance operations, consider joining us!

What you’ll do

  • Through excellent customer service, establish and maintain crucial relationships at key accounts to ensure their needs and ultimately retention goals are met or exceeded
  • Lead team in preparing account specific sales and renewal strategies
  • Recruit, train and develop an account management team accountable for strengthening our company goals and value in the market
  • Understand the customer’s culture, perspective and needs and recommend benefit options accordingly
  • Serve as a negotiating liaison between Premera, brokers, consultants and clients

What you’ll bring

  • Ten years’ sales/service experience with large national accounts
  • Three years management experience
  • Health industry experience
  • Strong customer advocacy and consultative skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation and facilitation skills
