The NAND CMOS Process Integration Director role is a strategic leadership role which will define and execute the scaling roadmap of periphery CMOS devices, including their performance and reliability. This role will work closely with process development, design, and product engineering to develop CMOS and interconnect technologies to deliver to the defined roadmap. The role requires management and resolution of complex technical issues and the establishment of positive relationships with manufacturing, reliability, and product teams. The role is also responsible for managing and developing a team of CMOS engineers to achieve these deliverables.

Additional Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Structural development of the CMOS flow or traveler
  • Measurement and control of CMOS electrical parameters (ESPEC)
  • Measurement and control of CMOS/interconnect reliability parameters (RSPEC)
  • Defining rev0 device and interconnect models 9 months ahead of tape out. This requires a continuous stream of new test structures. CMOS Engineers will need to be thinking long term to design, manufacture, and validate new structures and devices. Strong collaboration with TCAD, modeling team are essential
  • Partner with Design Engineering and path finding teams to develop high data rate NAND solutions to meet the technical roadmap for CMOS and interconnect modules
  • In Collaboration with F4, transfer learning to manufacturing from next node development in Technology Development to accelerate yield ramp on current node
  • Back transfer applicable manufacturing learning to the Technology Development team
  • Demonstrate effective technology decision-making
  • Be fully aware of the competitive landscape and the threat to overall program strategy
  • Work effectively with other department leaders to drive program strategy and initiatives
  • Review, establish, and prioritize projects/processes that support program objectives and improve organization's performance
  • Mentor, develop, and motivate leaders and individual contributors
  • Maintain efficient and effective allocation of resources to ensure optimal performance of the team

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Deep understanding of transistors device technologies as well key metrics
  • Understanding of MOS and interconnect scaling and their practical limitations
  • Detailed understanding of MOS reliability mechanisms and mitigations
  • Understanding of structural/electrical interactions to facilitate development of a high-performance transistor flow at low cost
  • >10 years leadership experience within the semiconductor industry
  • Cross-functional capability to work closely with PI, Product engineering, and design
  • Ability to bridge communication between technologists and engineers. Ability to communicate to broad teams
  • Proven track record of effective performance management, succession planning, training, and leadership development
  • Demonstrated record of executing against goals with a true senior leader mindset (e.g., builds a disciplined environment, knows when to get in the details vs. delegate)

Education Requirement:

MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
