Job Description

In this position you will develop and execute HSB Mobile Technology program in concert with HSB Group departments and subsidiaries including, but not limited to, Engineering, Claims, PLC, BI&A, Strategic Innovation and IT Innovation, and Munich Re. You will identify, test and evaluate existing and new mobile technologies under development and in the marketplace. Develop and evaluate use cases and metrics for selected technologies and devices. Complete reporting and recommend adoption plans and facilitate courses of action for deploying mobile technologies with the HSB Group and Munich Re to help achieve corporate business goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Required:
Four-year college degree in business or technology, or equivalent technical training.
Minimum 5 years field service work with customers and clients.
2 years experience in an innovation or technology development role.
National Board Inspector Certification.
Base level understanding of Information Technologies (IT), including knowledge of APIs, cloud storage and computing, platform technologies, etc.
Advanced understanding of different operating systems (Windows, Apple, Android, etc.).
Advanced skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal & effective communication skills;
Ability to craft a presentation, as well as pitch, present and provide executive briefings to senior management.
Travel 25%.

Desired:
Masters Degree in Technology or Science; MBA.
5 Years experience in business development, management, or project management.
Loss Control Inspector Level 2 or above, or Supervisor of the same.
Project Management certification.
Experience working with IoT, VR/AR, Drones, Predictive Analytics, Data and Analytics projects.
Thorough understanding Equipment Breakdown and Property/Casualty insurance concepts.
Change management. Soft business/marketing skills; business plans.
Understanding of the Lean Startup model as well as customer interviewing for new concepts and ideas.
Supervisory experience.
