We are looking for a proven, strategic Sales Director to lead a team of Account Executives who are responsible for generating new business within the Western, USA region. They will also be responsible for contributing to sales strategy, building out comprehensive territory plans, etc.. Ideal candidates need a solid business-to-business application / infrastructure sales and management history.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage 5+ Field Account Executives (AE)
  • Support direct reports by participating and leading in client and prospect meetings or engaging other corporate resources as required
  • Ongoing mentoring and development of sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new AEs on the Okta sales process methodology
  • Conducting weekly forecast meetings and 1:1s
  • Reporting on sales activity and forecasting to senior sales management
  • Consistently monitoring and inspecting the sales activity of the team
  • Quote, negotiate, and assist sales reps in closing transactions through the development of executive-level relationships with key prospects
  • Work closely with extended team of pre-sales, services, training, legal, renewals business partners, etc.
  • Expect moderate travel (50%)

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years in a Field/Outside Sales role selling Enterprise solutions
  • 3+ years of sales management experience working for technology vendor
  • History of success selling SaaS & IT Infrastructure to MidMarket/Enterprise accounts
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proven and effective leadership skills
  • Extensive customer network
  • BS or BA degreepreferred
