  • Position Summary
    • Has operational responsibilities directly or through others to organize, staffs, directs, and controls movement, storage, and distribution of goods, services, and equipment. Including all activities at Maine Medical Center, warehouse services, receiving, mailroom and copy center. Additionally, is the visionary for standardization of daily operations for other MaineHealth sites that are placed under the control of Maine Medical Center. They are now but are not limited to distribution at Spring Harbor Hospital, NorDx, Maine Health Corporate entities, Maine Medical Center’s physician practices, and Southern Maine Medical Center’s physician’s practices. Works closely with each facility within this scope to develop best practices with the ultimate goal of standardization of Supply Chain operations for the MaineHealth hospitals and other non MaineHealth entities using Maine Medical Center’s distribution system. Assists each facility as they prepare to go live with Lawson. This position requires detailed and sophisticated financial as well as operational analysis and oversight. Has a direct and indirect operational responsibility for personnel performing distribution supply chain functions for all entities with the control of Maine Medical Center
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Knowledge of supply chain management including, inventory, distribution, logistics normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and or with (10) ten years of progressive relevant experience.
    • Significant and complex management experience in Supply Chain.
    • Interpersonal communication skills associated with managing a complex organization, as well as skills to effectively influence, negotiate, resolve problems and make strategic and tactical decisions with senior managers, nursing and department directors, physicians and vendors.
    • Analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives recommend changes and implement business processes.
