The Director of Material Planning will report to the Segment Business Leader and dotted line to the President of the Business Enterprise. This individual will operate in a highly matrixed environment and work closely with the Segment SVP. This role will manage 4 direct reports and 8 indirect reports across manufacturing sites in China, Mexico, UK, Germany, US & India.
The Director will own the Material Management strategy/vision and drive execution to enable business value and productivity with global oversight of Supply SIOP process for 13 manufacturing sites.
Additional responsibilities and objectives include:
? Lead the activities related to the purchase of material, material planning, production planning, inventory control, shipping/receiving within SIOT.
? Lead development of Annual Operating Plan and Long Term Strategic Plan. Including the management of operational Key Performance Indicators reporting and strategy design/ implementation.
? Works autonomously to achieve organizational objectives and drive functional excellence and continuous improvement. Accountable for and able to lead complex global project teams.
? Continuously improve material management processes to drive better business results. Manage census SIOP process roll up to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Lead master data / ERP maintenance, Inventory management, delivery, Past due management and factory revenue oversight.
? Orchestrate and lead Values Stream Management /Cycle time initiatives. Managing /Leading key improvement activities with critical cross-functional team member to improve delivery and inventory.
