Who we are looking for:

Optiv Marketing is seeking a candidate to join the Marketing leadership team and lead the Marketing Operations function. The ideal candidate is an experienced Marketing leader who knows what it takes to build the infrastructure or backbone of Marketing and subsequent processes to drive efficiency, automation, data-driven insights and success to our department goals. You would be a great fit if you love being hands-on, and are equally at ease defining lead management processes, implementing scalable processes, analyzing data, creating strategic executive decks, and providing insights to inform marketing strategy and plans. Additionally, you are excited and skilled at motivating others, fostering collaboration and helping the team tackle challenges that accompany change and growth.

Reporting to the leader of Marketing, with a team of 10 marketing operations professionals, this high-impact “chief-of-staff” role will work closely with other marketing teams and key Optiv functions (finance, IT, sales, channel, etc.) to help manage and build Optiv’s marketing strategy, operations, budget, annual plans, processes, projects/programs, reporting and tech stack.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Leading, managing and supporting a strong Marketing Operations team which includes five major functions: financial, reporting, project and program management, lead and database management, and the MarTech stack.
• Internal consultant / chief-of-staff to the chief marketing officer (CMO) or senior vice president of Marketing.
• Aid in creating and cascading marketing department goals, campaign priorities and recommending initiatives to achieve goals that align to the company’s overall strategy.
• Drive alignment with Optiv business goals and objectives, partner strategy, sales strategy and marketing strategy to drive success in joint marketing efforts.
• Oversight and development of annual (and monthly) marketing budget planning, forecasting and tracking process.
• Plan, manage, and execute cross-functional initiatives, programs and projects; successfully manages dependencies and risks, and makes the right decisions to deliver on time and on budget.
• Continually work to simplify systems and processes cross-functionally within Marketing. Building and providing project status and visibility through automation/project management tool, WorkFront.
• Define appropriate metrics and manage the process to package these measurements into dashboards and reports to measure performance of the marketing team and determine maximum budget investment strategy.
• Manage the strategy, design, execution and operations of Marketing’s lead management processes, funnel and reporting, in addition to health of marketing automation systems and marketing databases.
• Ensure full end to end lead management with Sales ops and manage and optimize the full lead journey including lead scoring, routing and efficient handovers to Sales.
• Oversee and ensure proper integrations and data alignment between all marketing technology including Marketo, Bizible, SFDC, Domo, WorkFront, financial tools, etc. Additionally, manage implementation and integration of new tools, renewal and contract negotiations for existing platforms and ongoing strategy and maintenance of tech stack.
• Development of a consistent marketing onboarding and training plan by function, working in collaboration with each marketing leader.
• Will manage a team of 8+ individual contributors/team lead(s)

Qualifications for success:

• 10+ years work experience – with at least 5 years of marketing operations experience in B2B high tech, with a focus on budgeting, lead management processes, reporting and marketing systems.
• Must have prior experience with Marketo, SFDC, Bizible and WorkFront.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively and coordinate across multiple internal departments and external organizations.
• Demonstrated team leadership and management experience; highly collaborative, with the ability to develop effective working relationships across organizations: regional and global marketing teams, sales, sales operations and IT.
• Demonstrated ability and desire to coach and develop a team.
• Results-driven with very strong ability to analyze quantitative data to determine program effectiveness, ROI, forecasting. A unique blend of business, marketing, and technical acumen.
• Experience in or knowledge of broader Marketing functions, processes and outputs.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, financial management and research skills.
• Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail in execution and project management skills. Ability and willingness to be a hands-on leader.
• Experience and understanding of IT security channel players and vendors - a plus.
