The Director - Marketing Strategy and Planning
leads all aspects of marketing campaign and promotional development for Charming Charlie.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success as a team leader at a mid to large size fashion retailer and has extensive experience across an array of traditional and digital marketing channels.
The Director – Marketing Strategy and Planning
creates seasonal strategic marketing plans that focus heavily on traffic driving and profitable sales conversion efforts and works closely with the Creative, Ecommerce, Visual, Merchant, Store Operations and Public Relations teams to bring the Product and Marketing vision to reality for our customer.
S/he will play a lead role in developing marketing programs and promotions that can live across all brand touch points including digital and social media, print, in-store, website, and more. S/he is brand and customer-centric in his/her approach and is heavily focused on a balance between brand aspiration and analytics/ROI to guide decision making.
S/he is at the core, an expert in retail
marketing who brings demonstrated strength in team building and development, cross functional collaboration, creative and strategic thinking, process development and execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement marketing strategies, campaigns,
and promotions for the Charming Charlie brand with the goal
of increasing trips and profitable sales from existing customers while also
acquiring new customers
cross-functional collaboration with business partners including Creative, Merchandising,
Planning & Allocation, Store Operations and Visual in order to deliver
critical traffic driving, in-store marketing and brand building initiatives
daily with the Merchant Team to understand and translate business and product
strategy into effective marketing initiatives and content creation for all
the Master Marketing Calendar to ensure complete alignment across the
organization and fully integrated programs across all customer touch points
· Manage seasonal, monthly and weekly planning
meetings with key stakeholders
· Utilize key metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of all marketing campaigns and provide optimization recommendations for future
· Track and leverage key industry, competitive and customer insights to inform business strategies and plans
· Budget responsibilities include monthly forecasting and update reviews for all campaigns
· Take on additional
responsibilities as assigned
