Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Delivers P/L results consistent with annual, North American budget commitments in retailchannel

  • Secures organizational commitment to annual business and marketing plans and delivers them flawlessly

  • Understands and influences key customer/brand growth strategies and leverages to develop plans that enable achievement of DPC strategic plan targets for assigned business segments

  • Develops strategy and leads execution of key business bids and negotiations

  • Develops and delivers plans to achieve cost savings and obsolescence targets for assigned product lines

  • Develops and manages key annual budgets (marketing activation, professional services, T&E,  etc)

  • Collaborates with VP/Global Category Directors in development of long range business strategy for assigned product segments/lines and key accounts

  • Collaborates with key cross functional partners to inform capital asset footprint and annual capex investments

  • Strongly partners with sales teams to provide stewardship of business & DPC organization with customers 

  • Analyzes the marketplace and identifies key areas of opportunity to capitalize on growth that can deliver sustainable competitive advantage for DPC’s North American businesses

  • Collaborates with Insights Group on consumer/shopper/analytical research to develop and deepen knowledge for assigned segments and provide insight on critical issues and opportunities

  • Strategically balances focus and resources across Partner Brand (PL) and DPC brand initiatives

  • Develops, coaches, and mentors more junior marketing staff to build a world-class marketing organization

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in brand/marketing functions, preferably for a leading consumer products marketer.
  • Of the 15+ years, 7+ years must be in a leadership role with direct management; experience supporting talent management and development.

  • Experience with marketing in and to “big box” retailers such as: Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, etc. Direct salesexperience a plus.
  • Deep understanding of base business product/brand management and marketing commercialization, including extensive experience in developing and delivering strong marketing strategies and plans.
  • Previous private label development and marketing campaign success across a portfolio of consumer products preferred, healthcare/personal care/infant care a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of qualitative and quantitative analytics and customer/consumer insight for building and redefining categories, products, marketing and business plans.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering business results in a matrix environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook), as well as internet research.
  • Demonstrated skill in use of social media, targeted marketing and traditional marketing methods.
  • Competent in persuasively presenting ideas, plans, and points-of-view and managing conflict constructively.
