Position Summary:

Director, Kiosk Leasing is responsible for creating income and value for the company through understanding merchandising, consumers and trends. Individual must be able to identify new kiosk opportunities and generate sufficient leasing activity to achieve targeted income objectives for portfolio of assigned properties and GGP.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Accountable for driving revenue by identifying new kiosk leads
  • Identify and qualify prospective kiosk retailers through cold-calling, canvassing and attending designated trade shows and conferences
  • Establish and implement canvass plan
  • Negotiate license agreements, permanent leases and follow up through execution to kiosk opening
  • Obtain deals and rents at levels that can be approved by GGP
  • Build and maintain positive retailer relations
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Directors, BD, GBDR’s and mall management teams
  • Completely understands and aims to exceed kiosk income targets established by property
  • Prepare budget/forecast for leasing activity
  • Prepare license agreement request packages
  • Prepare kiosk proposals
  • Obtaining adequate financial information, references and background concerning possible tenants
  • Manage deals in progress through all stages to fully executed legal agreements
  • Has considerable knowledge of license agreement and leaselanguage
  • Has complete understanding of kiosk fabrication and installation process and timeline – has ability to keep process moving so there are no delays from the Landlord inhibiting the retailer kiosk to be installed on property
  • Has complete understanding GGP’s kiosk design criteria and approval process and clearly articulates to prospective and existing retailers
  • Works with tenant coordination and has complete understating of tenant coordinator’s role and responsibilities
  • May serve as a coach for kiosk leasing deals made by Group Business Development Representatives

Requirements

Qualifications include the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Deal making/prospecting/leasing experience
  • Project development and implementation experience
  • Must have strong closing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication, public speaking/presentation skills
  • Experience in Real Estate required
  • Understand the mall environment staffing and responsibilities
  • Good knowledge of mall business; 3+ years in identifying & negotiating business
  • Understand the specialty leasing process and rent structures
  • Networking and presentation skills
  • Previous sales and/or sales training experience
  • Strong communication, sales and time management skills
  • Moderate level of Word and Excel skills
  • Travelrequired
  • Other duties as assigned
