The Director, IT Enterprise Applications is responsible for the life cycle management of our ERP system. Managing and ensuring the effective operation of all financial systems (Accounting, Tax, Procurement, Budgeting, Credit and Partner connectivity (EDI) systems) for the enterprise. The Director has the overall responsibility to collaborate with Management, Business Leaders, Project Leadership, Functional and Development and other teams within IT.
Additional responsibilities include strategic planning, budget management and optimization, vendor management, resource management, process participation and ownership.
The candidate in this role is also expected to provide strategic direction and advice on architectural design of new systems and support the growing needs of the organization.
Implement and manage development by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies. This role is responsible for the implementation, development and support of Oracle ERP.
Responsible for Oracle Financials and Hyperion Reporting System’s architecture, enhancements, performance metrics and customers satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for automation and streamline business processes specifically in the finance area.
Lead and implement major projects aligned with business goals.
Review business process and/or technical designs to validate appropriate use of technology, and ensure our systems enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow. Drive system consolidation where possible and keep system footprint manageable and cost-effective.
Ensure Application development initiatives are well managed and deliver on expectations regarding functionality, timeliness and cost.
Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
Develop technology strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Follow overall technology vision, strategy direction set by management.
Lead operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
Continually manage organization design for effective service delivery. Identify and implement best sourcing methods for a specific need or service, including on/off shore delivery models.
Establish, contribute to and/or adhere to all key departmental operating procedures around governance, project management, software lifecycle management, change management and application security/ controls.
Ensure continuous delivery of IT services by monitoring system performance, directing production application support and adhering to service level agreements with end users.
12 to 15 years of relevant work experience is required.
Experience managing a significant full life cycle ERP implementation (Oracle or SAP), with broad and complex product lines, supporting a large nationwide or global finance workforce.
10 years of experience in IT management, including strategic planning, ERP development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale ERP application and integration.
Demonstrated experience in managing a complex portfolio of business applications and experience.
Demonstrated experience leading teams of at least 10-25 resources and/or contractors.
Must have a wide range of application experience, preferably including the following technologies: Oracle EBS Application Architecture Oracle EBS Database Architecture Oracle Cloud Services Hyperion Essbase
10 years’ experience managing significant, interactive online solutions, with broad and complex product lines, supporting a large, nationwide or global direct sales and account management workforce.
Bachelor degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems.
An advanced degree is a plus.
