Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester
The Director of ICU isresponsible for the daily operations and demands of the department. Some of the activities will include but not limited tostaffingreports, Kronos, productivity of department, Performance Improvement projects, Quality Improvement,Risk Management issues, ordering and approving supplies, capitalbudget, departmentalbudget and controllingbudgeted expenses, competencies for staff,orientation of staff, and maintaining employee personnel files. Director will participate as often as possible in focus groups and team groups as assigned (LMAT, Outpatient Satisfaction, Growth Team, etc.). The Directorreports to the Chief Nursing Officer of the hospital. In theevent of the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director with take overresponsibilities but willreport any significant needs/issues to Director if available and if he/she is not thenreport to Chief Operating Officer. Director will also providepatient care, as available, in accordance with his/her per discipline that licensure is held under.
Minimum Education:Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a BSNRequired Skills:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take the appropriate action. Licenses/CertificationsLicensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee as a registered nurse.Three years of experience as a Director preferred.
