The role of the IT Director includes building effective and inspired teams that provide Application Services and support emerging technologies like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligences, and Robotics.   In this role, responsibilities include partnering with GBIS peers to support the product delivery in areas like Digital Marketing, Digital Supply Chain, Digital R&D, HR and M&A with ensuring the use of concepts and methodologies like Agile and Design Thinking. In addition, the IT Director of Applications Services should be able to demonstrate agility, have a business lens and be externally focused with a broad mindset.  The IT Director will lead and drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, managing partnerships with 3rd Party’s to deliver application and development services, as well as oversee the management of application assets management and financials for the application portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures effective use of product delivery and change management methodologies
  • Develop and maintain a deep working relationship with GBIS support partners to ensure the right focus and outcomes for Production Support and CPI’s, KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Manages relationship with IT Outsourcer through iterated QA process and performance improvement
  • Partners with the GBIS Business Relationship Management team to understand and prioritize enterprise application requirements and product delivery
  • Partners with GBIS Enterprise Technology Services to communicate application requirements
  • Manages interactions with the business partners for critical incidents and routine services, while supporting process improvements and technology upgrades
  • Prioritizes multiple activities simultaneously and completes or delegates work to ensure commitments are met
  • Define performance metrics, plan, and initiate periodic performance reviews for the team and vendors
  • Is a culture creator and agent of change focused on making the lean model work for Conagra Brands
  • Executes Conagra Brands success cycle including all Human Capital management activities
  • Inspire change and enable growth with a strong focus on culture creation, vibrancy and continuous reinvention

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field required
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
  • 8+ years in Information Technology, 5+ managing people or relevant experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of oversight of application managed services, development and product delivery
  • Expert understanding of application and infrastructure integration
  • Working knowledge to expert in one or more of the following areas:
    • Resource and Sourcing Management, Capacity Planning. Vendor Performance Management
  • Ability to drive cross-functional execution
  • Travel required up to 20% of the time
