Summary: The CCHP System Director, Infection Prevention maintains 24-hour accountability for the delivery of quality, cost-effective infection prevention and control services at all CCHP facilities, in compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards and implementation of the strategic plan. Responsible for establishing infection prevention and control standards for delivery of services and scope to provide positive patient/support service functions. Provides administrative direction to departments within the system. Periodically inspects all facilities with CCHP areas for continuing adherence to established requirements. The Director, Infection Control develops, implements and evaluates a management plan which monitors the delivery of high quality, cost-effective infection prevention and control services to all patients and customers.
Education: Graduate of College or University program in a related field such as Nursing, Health Science, Microbiology, or Public Health.
Licensure: Certification in infection prevention and control (CIC) is highly desirable.
Experience: Five to seven years directly related experience at the administrative level in the oversight of Infection Prevention and Control Department program (s). Demonstrated expertise in the Joint Commission (TJC) Accreditation process and budgetary management. Requires excellent leadership capabilities and strong communication/interpersonal skill with employees and medical staff.
