Job Description

Essential job responsibilities:

  • Provide direction, training, establish objectives and provide performance feedback to HRIS team members. Prioritize work across teams to ensure maximum productivity in meeting both project-related work and production support work. Ensure processes are documented and controls for system changes are in place and adhered to; conduct lessons learned and document future projects.
  • Serve as a strong consultative partner to business users and functional leaders to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Provide leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of York specifically in the areas of HR, compliance, vendor management, policy design, and auditing.
  • Coordinate with other York members that impact or are impacted by the HR technologies. Drive ongoing enhancements in Workday; stay abreast of new enhancements in each Workday release and coordinate with team as the enablement of new functionality.
  • Manage system integrations within the architecture of the HR system and middleware. Provide support for HRIS inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations and well as new integrations.
  • Establish measures and metrics for all critical processes and manage the function through the use of those metrics, providing complete transparency and open communication to all interested stakeholders.
  • Managed the performance of routine break/fix support and regression testing and support the inbound/outbound interfaces to the system and middleware.
  • Ability to work and coordinate with third parties on integration related inquiries including testing and communications Consult with business and technical teams about interface design and maintenance; collaborate with other architects and technical leads on design decisions.


  • 3-5 years of Workday implementation and transformation experience required
  • 10+ years of HRIS Management experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory/ management experience and ability to effectively drive results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a deadline driven environment, utilizing extensive problem solving and decision-making skills and unwavering attention to detail
  • Experience building consensus amongst diverse business functions
