As the Director of HR Information Systems (HRIS), this role will lead the HR Technology and Analytics teams responsible for driving key HR technology initiatives for 24 Hour Fitness. The Director, HRIS will partner with HR and the business to develop progressive initiatives in support of our key HR technologies, such as ADP Vantage. This role will lead efforts in developing dashboard metrics and reporting enabling our leadership team to utilize the HR metrics in support of cultivating an irresistible culture. In addition, this role is responsible for technology to support the end to end experiences comprising our team member lifecycle. The Director, HRIS will report directly to the Senior Director, HR and Organizational Transformation located in San Ramon, CA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead analysis, development, configuration, and operation of HR Systems.
Build partnerships with our HR leadership team and act as a trusted advisor to drive new ways technology can enable and advance our team member experience
Responsible for prioritizing and driving our HR technology roadmap across our suite including our HCM platform (ADP Vantage)
Responsible for leading the team in strategizing and implementing updates to further streamline and automate HR business processes.
Manage system administration and governance of HR systems including ongoing compliance work (Eg Sox)
Manage and optimize software vendor relationships
Ensure the development of proper training and documentation for system use and maintenance
Ensure consistent and reliable service delivery for internal customers through our HCM solution.
Act as an internal consultant to best improve and configure the system and utilize tools by drawing from best practices, industry trends, and personal experience with similar systems.
Serve as a "point person" for the business on HRIS-related project requests, helping to prioritize, develop and refine business requirements, analyze ROI, and assign appropriate resources. Participate and provide leadership to other change management projects across the business as assigned.
Effectively communicate changes, benefits and challenges of new systems and programs to be a credible resource for explaining technical information.
Evaluate functionalities of Human Capital Management (HCM) that may not be activated/owned today, and recommend solutions that meet business need while fitting into overall HR & financial strategies.
Look for opportunities for continuous improvements and timely rollout of system upgrades and enhancements.
Manage systems-related projects, such as business requirements around vendor selection, redesign of interfaces and internal processes, implementation of a new systems, etc.
Work closely with the IT function to establish and maintain data migration paths, integration points, and protocols.
Continually monitor metrics and trends and implement strategy to continuously improve productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of systems and staff
Keep current on key HR systems technology & trends; network with other companies and professional organizations to stay abreast of best practices in HR systems.
Oversee the HRIS and Analytics functions to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner and is achieving desired business outcomes.
Select, evaluate, and reward the performance of all direct reports with a focus on continuous growth and development.
Maintain a strong technical team through training, coaching, team building and knowledge sharing.
Promote a constructive work environment; engage staff to accomplish work and meet business demands and encourage initiative, creativity and risk taking.

Develop annual department and project budgets with monthly P&L review; identify variances and take corrective actions as appropriate.
Lead the company's HR reporting needs and support HR effectiveness.
Progressive development of key HR metrics, workforce analytics and dashboards.
Continuously improve the quality of HR data and the integrity of downstream analytics -- ensuring meaningful and trustworthy business metrics.
Partner to build dashboards and reporting to enable transparency and access to information. Produce scorecards as defined by the business.
Provide exceptional service to internal clients
Monitor "ad hoc" and ongoing requests for people-related data to ensure that the workload is appropriate, assess the best methods for researching and analyzing the data, and that the reports are meeting the business' needs. Ensure accuracy of all reported data coming out of HRIS systems.
Partner with HR leaders to continually refine and improve HR processes in order to maximize efficiency, cost savings and enable new HR initiatives.
This position will report to the Sr. Director, HR and Organizational Transformation. Will directly manage a team of 6-8 including HRIS Analysts and Reporting Analysts. Primary relationships with the Talent Development team, and key business partners in IT, Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations, Staffing, Payroll and Finance. Communication is focused on understanding business needs, reporting data and explaining the data's relevance to the business.

Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users.
Knowledge of Talent Management processes, best practices and strategy development. Broad knowledge of general HR practice, policies and programs.
Ability to be innovative and dedicated to improving critical HR business processes.
Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
10+ years HR Technology experience with focus on project implementation
7+ years people management experience in the HR technology area
Minimum 5 years of experience in advanced HR reporting and analytics
Experience developing, implementing, and continuously improving tools/process in a multi-unit retail/fitness or related business.
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
Must be able to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work extended hours on occasion.
Indoor office environment.
May need to travel by air on occasion (<10 days per year).
