Director, Higher Education Consulting

Responsibilities

BKD’s National Higher Education Financial Sustainability Services Practice is searching for a Director that will bring higher education consulting or meaningful experience in an academic setting to lead and deliver our financial sustainability solutions.

BKD’s Financial Sustainability Services (FSS) solutions is a dynamic and growing suite of services that provides higher education institutions and academic leaders with data, dashboards and reports related to program economics, academic and program demand, market data, financial modeling and other key indicators used in academic portfolio evaluation. BKD’s FSS serves public and private higher education institutions providing robust data and analysis to support programmatic and strategic investments, resource allocation and aids in ensuring programs are competitively positioned both economically and in the market place. This exciting position will engage with senior leaders and administration at colleges and universities to manage and deliver the analysis, dashboards and reports as well as facilitate discussions and meetings to effectively support critical thinking and decisions to promote financial sustainability of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as engagement point of contact to senior administrators (president, provost, CFO) and other key constituents to deliver, communicate, facilitate and discuss results of analysis and meaningful action steps
• Evaluate the data, dashboards and reports generated to provide insight and tangible recommendations
• Conduct and provide on-site presentations and facilitation of workshops with senior administrators and other academic leaders
• Oversee and manage multiple projects in various stages
• Lead and drive business development efforts of the FSS solutions
• Deliver feedback and input to influence solution development and enhancements
• Secure and record testimonials and case studies to highlight value proposition of solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degreerequired. Master’s or advanced degreepreferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in evaluating academic programs with an understanding of the economics of programs
• Experience with technology solutions including web-based analytics and digital visualization software to work withbig data sets, large market research analysis, and utilizing technology tools to quantify, analyze, and synthesize data.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working at a higher education institution or a similar academic setting and/or consulting in higher education in a comparable role
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Proven track record of project management
• Strong communication skills while understanding the culture and language of higher education
