The Director will oversee the centralized medical cost analytics function while serving as the subject matter expert with respect to the interpretation and analysis of medical cost data for all value-based, risk, and share savings, population health initiatives. The director Dis responsible for identifying key drivers of medical cost trends; and working collaboratively with members of the Value-Based leadership team in fully understanding, and accurately interpreting and predicting medical costs. The director is also responsible for working with senior leadership in the identification of strategies and initiatives to control medical cost trends, including the development and management of the formal medical cost management program. The director is responsible for building and leading a highly skilled, action oriented analytical team; providing strategic leadership in the development of tools, methods and processes for researching and analyzing medical cost data. The director is responsible for setting standard methodologies and processes for performing strategic analysis which will be socialized across all areas within the organization.
Degrees: Masters Degree Required. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), population health management and clinical integration including but not limited to federal regulations, programs, implementation, operations. Specific experience or knowledge of risk arrangements, assessment of populations and stratification of results. Financial reporting experience is a plus. An individual actuarial experience is preferred.Minimum experience required: 5 years
