Assures CSL’s project, program & portfolio governance (forums & documentation), processes & metrics meet leading practice requirements

  • Create and manage portfolio & project governance structures & processes, with a focus on achieving leading practice and delivering continuous improvement

Direct Reports – Not applicable currently, however Portfolio & Governance Coordinators are envisaged in the future

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Drive and assure effective implementation of leading practice governance processes & forums across the end to end PPM (portfolio, program, project) value chain
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of end to end PPM value chain and related governance processes
  • Manage and support portfolio governance forums through co-ordination and committee leadership, with a particular focus on global governing bodies
  • Perform portfolio-level assurance by working with portfolio / programs managers to monitor and assess portfolio risk and performance
  • In partnership with Finance; develop and deliver ongoing enhancements supporting Financial processes across Opex & Capex. Own CSL Project Approval Documents (including Capital Templates)
  • Drive the documentation and rollout of required policies, procedures and tools to ensure governance standards are applied consistently in a compliant manner across the company
  • Partner with the PM Education and Professional Development function to support the development and delivery of training on new processes & documentation
  • Development and delivery of leading practice metrics to ensure outcomes are effectively captured to demonstrate improvements to current state and to identify leading indicators where course correction is required and take action to address
  • Act as the Global Process Lead (GPL) for Process & Technology projects / portfolios assuring alignment with the Global Process Owner (GPO) for Capital

Experience:

  • Minimum ten years of experience within project management, portfolio management, project governance and/or process management and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing in a global matrix environment.
  • Strong leadership, consultative, communication, and conflict management skills to influence project professionals and stakeholders, including non‐specialists, at all levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying best practice governance frameworks, processes, tools and templates
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical industry; good understanding of the different areas in a plasma products company, e.g., plasma supply, manufacturing, quality, commercial, and IT.
  • Experience in internal audit and assurance highly desired
