About the Role
The Director of Global Marketing Central Brands is responsible for leading the marketing activities for Harman’s centralized businesses including Embedded Audio, Luxury (JBL Synthesis, Mark Levinson, Revel, Arcam, and Lexicon), IOT and Aftermarket. The role will work closely with the sales, business development and regional marketing leadership across the businesses to drive global marketing plans. Key responsibilities include delivering annual marketing plans and calendars for the core brands in the business and creating global launch plans for NPIs and ensuring Harman brands are being utilized to corporate standards.

What You Will Do
Lead the development and distribution of global marketing plans for Harman centralized brands and the Infinity Lab business. Must work closely with the BU and regions to create comprehensive launch plans that include advertising creative, activation ideas and other core assets. These plans drive the global execution of critical new business opportunities like IoT.
Drive Embedded Business marketing support for Harman Embedded Audio (HEA) including the development of custom sales presentations, video and social content and launch event support. Ongoing support includes B2B targeted marketing; web content and creative review along with providing support and attendance in sales pitch meetings.
Lead the brand approval process for HEA working with the sales team to review and provide advice and recommendations on potential business opportunities relative to HARMAN brand fit. Work with CMO to align on brand appropriate partnerships and drive post design development logo use approvals. This will require collaboration with other functions within EA as well as other HARMAN business units/departments and outside agencies.
Drive the improved awareness of HEA capabilities within targeted industry segments and acquiring useful business leads. B2B strategies in this area may include trade show participation, web-based content-marketing activities, and outbound email campaigns.
Manage marketing and advertising spend of $3-5mm based on business initiatives and lead all social activities on centralized brands. Responsibilities include asset creation, calendar planning and agency management.
Manage the marketing support for the Luxury business and all luxury brands (JBL Synthesis, Revel, Arcam, Lexicon) including the monthly global business report, website management, lead global social media and support key product launches. Launches can include PR, advertising creative, social campaigns, and events. Maintain a close relationship with the BU to ensure marketing plans are aligned with business goals.
What You Need
A minimum of 10 years of similar or related work experience within consumer electronics or related industry.
Strong leadership skills
Excellent customer facing skills. Comfortable interacting with sales and customer personnel from Executives to lower levels.
Proficient in web marketing/social activities. Knowledgeable about paid search, social media, web metrics, and Ecommerce.
Budget management experience.
Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
Agile and able to address immediate business issues with limited time, resources, and information.
