The Director of Global Digital Delivery, Digital Manufacturing will lead the global manufacturing technology strategy, tactical planning and develop and direct the operation of manufacturing IT systems.

In this position you'll partner closely with Manufacturing Operations business executives to solve complex business problems with digital technology solutions. This role will also control and recommend budgets as well as lead and allocate digital staff for program priorities.

The Director, Global Digital Delivery (GDD), Digital Manufacturing will report to the VP & CIO


Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Manufacturing Digital team (Manufacturing execution system team, digital factory, machine tooling and shop floor onsite resources)
  • Responsible for defining short and long term roadmap for manufacturing sites (including future state manufacturing execution system)
  • Provide direction and oversight to digital project team including third party partners
  • Responsible for delivery of manufacturing digital initiatives on time and within budget
  • Work with the Digital Transformation Office to measure and understand the impact each digital opportunity led by the Manufacturing digital team
  • Communicate and promote digital opportunities to the business partner as well as provide status of ongoing digital initiatives to our business partners

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required). Preferred fields include Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Engineering or Business Management
  • Master's Degree preferred

​Basic Qualifications:

  • You are a U.S. Citizen (required due to Government contractual requirements)
  • You've obtained a Bachelor's Degree (required).Preferred fields include Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Engineering or Business Management
  • 10+ years of technology infrastructure experience and/or IT leadership of technology within a corporate environment and/or manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees preferred
  • Due to expected travel requirements, you should have a valid US Passport or be able to obtain one
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in Information/Digital Technology and/or Business Management experience in senior manufacturing roles within a variety of industries, preferably Automotive or Aerospace managing matrixed technical teams and technology implementation projects within an aerospace manufacturing corporate environment
  • Ability to provide strategic technical leadership and lead by influence the creation of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) roadmaps in a virtual environment aligning and communicating with all levels of the business (senior executives leadership through end users)
  • Ability to communicate and influence multi-disciplinary teams developing strong partnerships across functions to drive measurable collaboration, consensus and operational results
  • Leadership experience in digital strategy deployment and uses of automation in world-class production facilities
  • Functional knowledge of manufacturing operations – including but not limited to the following functions: planning/forecasting, supply management, procurement, sales and operations planning, engineering, production scheduling, maintenance, production controls, quality control, inventory management, supply chain, warehouse and distribution.
  • Track record of project delivery success that should include: System Implementation / Integration, cost savings, process improvement, production capacity improvement,
  • Strong functional knowledge of ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES: Solumina, Apriso) with broad IT expertise in various disciplines (system development, infrastructure) and new technologies
  • Keen technical skills and demonstrable ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives and implement and lead change
  • Demonstrated capability in making timely, difficult decisions to ensure critical business needs and timelines are met
  • Experience in supplier management, Project Management, SDLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal, with ability communicate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization
  • Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity with executive presentation experience, comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership, lead, facilitate and manage change effectively
  • Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Associate Certification is preferred along with a proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement accomplishments
  • You are comfortable working Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP experience preferred
