POSITION SUMMARY

The Director is responsible for the leadership, management, direction, and performance of Pharmacy Fulfillment Operations; including, but not limited to, order fulfillment, inventory control, and delivery success of Specialty medications. Works with Compliance, Procurement, Inventory control, Front End/Call Center Operations, Account Management, Service Delivery, and Corporate Finance; as well as other cross functional teams to ensure quality, service, cost, inventory, safety, and culture KPI targets are achieved and exceeded. Works with senior leadership to develop the business unit’s strategic plan and its execution. Oversees development of policies and procedures, hiring, training, coaching, development of staff and overall culture of the Fulfillment Organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead, manage, and direct Fulfillment operations at multiple locations to achieve and exceed fulfillment KPI targets. Seek out and implement best practice opportunities across sites
  • Oversee fulfillment organization culture, working with site leaders to develop and enhance team member engagement and empowerment. Lead the maturity of a continuous improvement culture within the fulfillment organization to identify, develop, and implement changes to improve overall performance metrics.
  • Work with area senior leadership and team to develop business unit’s strategic goals, to include initiative identification, support, and execution.
  • Develop and grow leader and team member capability to enhance individual, team, and organizational flexibility, effectiveness, and capacity.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across the value stream.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care, Business or related field; or 16-20 years equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10-15 years of relevant operations experience
  • Experience in the Pharmacy Fulfillment, PBM or Healthcare industry
  • Lean background preferred
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate people and teams to project completion.
  • Thorough knowledge of ESI’s systems and platforms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business requirements.
