The Director, Franchise Strategy and Marketing is responsible for driving the growth and development of NBCUniversal franchises by creating and managing innovative plans that maximize NBCU IP, particularly existing or future franchises, across company and help ensure long-term success of the brands, and ultimately drive revenue and long-term value for NBCUniversal. Additionally, this person is responsible for the marketing strategy and execution of franchise level campaigns and digital programs to drive brand engagement. Reports directly to the VP, Franchise Management.

Job Responsibilities:

Franchise Strategy & Marketing: Partner with VP, Franchise to develop strategic business plans for franchises and guide implementation to drive revenue and build brands.

  • Lead bi-annual business planning considering lifecycle, revenue potential, portfolio fit and long-term proposition
  • Lead development of bridge content and digital/social strategies to manage lifecycle for franchise
  • Analyze and track relevant metrics to support business case modelling and scenarios.
  • Create global franchise marketing campaigns and activations that will be relevant to all key territories, with thoughtfulness to market prioritization and localization
  • Develop compelling digital content and campaigns to drive brand engagement across multiple platforms
  • Partner with theatrical brand marketing and CP marketing teams to maximize theatrical initiatives across CP businesses
  • Partner with CPG teams to develop and drive franchise opportunities

Brand Stewardship: Act as brand champion and ambassador for internal and external needs outside of the content window, and support brand marketing team during film windows.

  • Connect key brand stakeholders and coordinate cross-company activations, including bridge year campaigns
  • Develop creative briefs and partner with creative and product development teams to ideate authentic and merchandisable brand extensions and refreshes
  • Represent Brand Development opportunities and drive franchise coordination across key cross-company businesses

Communication & Collaboration

  • Create presentations and other communications to disseminate franchise strategies and secure alignment
  • Ensure global application of franchise marketing programs and toolkits
  • Responsible for franchise communication to and in support of regional teams: NA, Europe, Japan, Latin America and Asia/Pacific on brand vision, ideation and growth strategy

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications

•7+ years experience: CP or Franchise Management background preferred; Entertainment experience a plus

•Experience in marketing, presentations and communication key

•Experience in kids entertainment or Kids-related business
