What We Do:

Fixed Income is a strategic priority for Schwab. With over $145 billion in Fixed Income assets, an industry leading product platform and a large team of sales & service professionals, the Fixed Income team plays a significant role in driving asset growth for both our Advisor and Retail channels. Within Fixed Income, the Product Management team plays a critical role to drive awareness of our offering and to guide/implement our strategy, regularly leading our most critical initiatives in close coordination with senior management and partners from throughout the business.

What You’ll Do:

You will play a critical role in leading and implementing our retail fixed income solutions with a goal of improving the client experience and helping drive substantial asset growth. Operating with a healthy balance between being an articulate advocate and an objective critic of the product offering, you can have a tremendous impact on our growth and become a leader throughout the business. The role can be broadly broken into 2 key areas of responsibility:

1. Drive client and field adoption of fixed income

  • Define our message and partner with marketing professionals to create, maintain and deliver marketing campaigns and materials
  • Work closely with sales & service managers to improve our partnership with financial consultants and other field teams through training, sales ideas and reporting
  • Work closely with sales & service managers to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales efforts through client segmentation and sales campaigns

2. Define and implement retail fixed income solutions vision and roadmap

  • Lead analytics function, perform analyses that improves trade volumes, AUM and FI market share
  • Conduct and own comprehensive dashboard inclusive of client research, market & distributionchannel analyses and competitive analyses to develop a deep understanding of our strengths, weaknesses and opportunities across the breadth of our offer (product, pricing, online, marketing, trading, etc.)
  • Develop, socialize and gain buy-in for recommendations that will improve the client experience, our competitive positioning and business results
  • Lead project implementation efforts from conception through implementation

You will work closely with senior leaders from throughout the business, have the potential to make a tremendous impact on our growth and become a leader throughout the Fixed Income team. You will report to the Head of Fixed Income Product Management.

What You’ll Need:

You should be a self-starter with a well-rounded skills set, including strong analytical problem solving and strategic thinking capabilities. You will have a background in financial services and business strategy as well as a desire and ability to learn fixed income products and markets.

  • Bachelor’s degreerequired, MBA/CFA is a plus
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience, including background in product management and business strategy
  • 3+ years working either in sales or in close coordination with sales leadership
  • Financial services experience, knowledge of fixed income products is a plus
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Demonstrable communication skills, including executive presentation development
  • Strong orientation to clients, including ability to understand needs and apply this knowledge to product enhancements, online user experience, and communication content (internal and external)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and ability to work within a matrix team structure
  • Series 7 is a plus
