Role Overview

Otis is seeking a Director of Finance, Treasury & Payroll Systems to provide leadership to the Otis corporate applications team within the Digital Technology group. The successful candidate will identify, evaluate and resolve business issues using technology solutions for corporate functions such as Finance, Shared Services (Payroll), Treasury Systems and for other mission critical applications.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Aids in creating and subsequently managing the technology budget for corporate system programs
  • Possesses extensive technical breadth and program leadership skills to assist in solutioning and implementing multiple SaaS and on-premise applications in partnership with key business leads to create a technology roadmap
  • Serves as the Digital Technology relationship manager to key corporate functions
  • Sets the technology strategy, project roadmap and budget and is responsible for subsequent outcomes
  • Understands corporate strategies and how IT can enable successful business outcomes
  • Responsible for strategy and prioritization of enhancement requests for corporate system platforms such as Concur (T&E), SAP and/or the Oracle Cloud Financial suite as well as assorted applications in the Otis Finance COE
  • Manages the hiring, staffing and ongoing maintenance of a diverse and effective team
  • Responsible for career development and planning, performance and pay discussions for all team members
  • Communicates and translates the vision and strategy to staff
  • Responsibility for and ownership of the successful and in-budget execution of the Digital Technology project and application portfolio
  • Responsible for the team's forecast and budget, individual program budgets, staffing supply and demand planning
  • Prepares and presents reports to all levels of leadership and staff


  • A bachelor's degree in technology, finance or a related field and 13-plus years of relevant experience, or
  • Alternatively, a graduate degree in technology, finance or a related field and 10 to 12 years of relevant experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Thirteen-plus years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Six to nine years of leadership experience
  • Possesses expert knowledge, skills and abilities required to resolve complex IT issues across a global footprint
  • Knowledge of related disciplinary areas of accounting, mergers and acquisitions, finance, customs, procurement, and/or banking
  • Extensive knowledge of key processes, such as Order to Cash and Procure to Pay
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring both team members and business partners
  • Understands the business vision and strategic direction, and the impact technology can have on these priorities
  • Can integrate deep subject-matter expertise with industry experience, knowledge of professional standards, relevant related disciplines and business goals and strategy
  • Understands the impact of emerging business and technology trends and their implications to Otis and its customers
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the company
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
