Position Overview

Ralph Lauren Corporation seeks anexperienced Director ofFP&A to lead allfinancialreporting and analysis as well as long term strategic planning & process management for the North America (NA) Full Price Storeschannel. The Director ofFP&A will also beresponsible forfinancial oversight of all DTC NAinventory and relatedforecasting, reserves, and KPIs as well as real estate and capital planning for the store fleet. This positionreports directly to the Vice President ofFP&A, NA DTC and willpartner with Sr. Leadership from thechanneland functional areas to execute against targets

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Lead allforecasting,budgeting, andreportingprocesses for the full P&L including sales thru gross profit, store expenses (payroll, depreciation, R&M spend, rent & occupancy, selling and G&A expenses, marketing, and creative), and store overhead - Collaborate with functional leadership including buying, planning, marketing, store leadership & operations, as well the store regionals and GMs to developfinancial targets/forecasts - Track key performance metrics (retail KPIs) and proactively analyze and assess business opportunities to drive operational andfinancial performance; collaborate with regionals to ensure proper P&L management across the store fleet acrosspayroll and controllable expenses - Responsible for monthlyinventory reviews andforecasting across all of DTC including analysis of agedinventory - Lead all month end closeprocesses including variance analyses; review monthly results with Sr. Leadership & functional department heads; act as the leadfinance business partner for storefinancials and establish a track record of clear communication and sound follow up - Key partner in all pro-forma analysis around store closures, openings,renovations, refits/refreshes as well as post mortem ROI analyses on completed projects - Identify trends, highlight issues and address problems to drive proactivefinancial management and identifyrisks/opportunities vs forecast/plan - Establish and maintain strong businesspartnerships across divisionalfinance teams to promote teamwork and organizational alignment including sharing best practices across divisions. - Anticipate needs of business partners and prioritize efforts to deliver results. - Prepare analyses and presentations for business reviews, annualbudgets, and long range plans and provide insightful analysis. - Support and prepare ad hoc analyses and special projects for Corporate and Senior leadership.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and innovative financial professional with the ability to multi-task with a high degree of analytical proficiency and integrity. Position requires strong foundation knowledge and experience in finance/accounting and a firm understanding of Retail concepts. Candidates with a proven history of proactively driving preservation of gross profit, operating expense efficiencies, and process improvements are preferred. -

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with exposure to retailfinancials, accounting, and operating budget management - BS Degree in Finance or Accounting - Retail and/or Wholesale industry experience and knowledge are critical -
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communication with senior level management - Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills -
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross functional projects to improve results - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including deadline-sensitive priorities -
  • Flexibility in adjusting and reprioritizing in order to meet changing needs in a fast-paced work environment -
  • Team player possessing a strong work ethic and drive for results - Superb financial modeling skills -
  • Systems experience with SAP, Microstrategy, Hyperion/Essbase, a plus - Advanced competency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
