Position Summary

The School of Professional Studies is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration to direct the planning and preparation of budget presentations, monitor income and control expenses of operation and restricted/endowment accounts; handle special projects on behalf of the Associate Dean. Establish guidelines for the implementation of corporate training initiatives. Develop corporate opportunities and intensive, executive, or contract education. Supervise staff.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education:
Master's degree.

Required Experience:
7 to 10 years experience in a business environment or an academic or not-for-profit organization. Must have experience developing budgets, financial reports and monitoring financial transactions.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in development and evaluation of business opportunities and/or development and management of business relationships.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills required to negotiate and resolve budget issues. Advanced knowledge of a broad range of accounting and financial principles and practices. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and communicate plans accordingly.
