This is a key position for our company. The position will report directly to Principal and the Owner. We are seeking a dynamic candidate who is a self-thinker and motivator. This candidate should demonstrate leadership qualities and solid accounting experience. Additionally, this person must be able to work under specific timelines and be able to delegate and distribute work throughout the accounting department. The Director must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The Director will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing and managing all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing. Duties and Responsibilities
-Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
-Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiative.
-Drive the company's financial planning and evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
-Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
-Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations
-Prepare reliable current and forecastingreports, including accurate analysis, budgets and financial trends.
-Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
-Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
-Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.
-Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
-Manage outsourced functions, including the timely payroll processing and quarterly reporting.
-Assist Human Resource department in the oversight of employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost effective benefits package.
-Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
-Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
-Ensure compliance with the law and company policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-BS in Accounting or Finance.
-7+ years requiredexperience in progressively responsiblefinancial leadership role in real estate development, property management, and/or construction industry.
-Proficient in the use of MS Office and SAP Business One financial management software.
-Ability to strategize and solve problems.
-Strong leadership and organizational skills.
-Excellent communication and people skills.
-An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
