Kaman Fuzing & Precision Products has an exciting opportunity available for a Director of ERP Implementation. This position will work under general direction of the Vice President, Supply Chain Management and is responsible for the overall implementation and project management of a new Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) System. This position will be responsible for requirements development, solicitation, selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of an ERP System into Kaman Precision Products (KPP).

Kaman Fuzing & Precision P 2019-3403roducts provides design, development, test and manufactur of fuzing, safe and arm, and flight termination products and systems. In addition, we design and build inductive (eddy current) sensors for operation in severe conditions, and advanced data storage and retrieval systems for military applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of ERP selection and implementation including:

  • Business system requirements definition, source identification, source selection criteria, the Request for Proposal Process, and leading the source selection team.
  • Act as Lead Interface with the ERP System Provider.
  • Lead the overall Implementation Process and implementation team, which would include direct and indirect personnel.
  • Ensure all functional department processes are documented and take into account common and best practices.
  • Develop and execute the ERP Implementation Plan.
    • Establish metrics and report to the plan
    • Manage project tasks, milestones, and deliverables
  • Identify Risk & Risk Mitigations to ensure on time delivery to the ERP Implementation Plan.
  • Interface with Corporate IT to ensure implementation meets Corporate IT Standards
  • Coordinate and align with all KPP locations, as well as Kaman Aerospace Group.
  • Develop Training Plans for users and establish appropriate technical support during and after implementation.

Monitor KPP sites to ensure data integrity and ascertain effectiveness regarding use of the new ERP system as an ERP tool. Coordinate continuous system process enhancement among KPP sites. Identify, prioritize, and execute leanevents to optimize KPP performance. Provide Business Systems Group prioritization to capitalize on the most significant process improvements. Support and coordinate site needs for New ERP system upgrades

Design and test a variety of business solutions in the new ERP software to implement and solve existing or new business problems and conditions as they arise.

Maintain a library of training documents related process and software to be used for new hires. Ensure site procedures are valid related to new system processes. Communicate with KPP site management as to status of problems/resolution, training, business process enhancements, leanevents.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience and ability to collaborate with interdepartmental teams is required for this role. Bachelor’s degree is required along with 10-13 years of management/projected management experience. PMP Certification preferred. ERP implementation experience a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills needed to be successful. Travel up to 30-40%.
