Enterprise Strategy is responsible for helping steward the development of the company's long term strategy, identifying key priorities tied to enterprise imperatives, connecting each business unit to those imperatives, and defining the choices and trade-offs required to achieve our long-term goals. The Director, Enterprise Strategy will work with enterprise and business unit leadership and peers throughout the company to support the growth aspirations of each business, and connect the dots on opportunities and risks across our extensive and diverse portfolio of assets.
� Work with leadership team, strategy counterparts, and business leads to develop enterprise strategy, identify key priorities and choices that allow CVS Health to realize its imperatives, and evaluate trade-offs required to realize vision
� Develop relationships with senior executives, peers, external advisors and cross-functional team members to support enterprise strategy development and implementation
� Support business unit counterparts to craft strategies aligned to enterprise strategy that drive growth of existing businesses or entry into new areas
� Work on cross-enterprise and business-unit initiatives in support of the company's priorities, often on new, white space opportunities and early stage ideas
� Maintain a portfolio perspective and serve as linkage across business units to spur collaboration and facilitate an enterprise approach to value creation in our business units
� Manage special projects that impact the entire organization and/or key business-unit partners, including exploration of new product areas and business opportunities, evaluation of implications and potential application of new technologies, analysis on key competitors
� Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences on our business
In order to be successful, the ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
� Strong relationship management skills across all levels within an organization and with relevant external constituents
� Ability to lead the strategy development and execution planning of transformative projects from end-to-end with both internal and external entities
� Proven skills in developing strategic frameworks and "storytelling" with relevant fact-base and key assumptions
� Ability to simultaneously manage multiple, high-profile and high-impact projects
� Fact-based problem solving, demonstrated personal integrity, collaborative style, proven ability to manage conflict, strong work ethic
� Ability to drive toward shared deliverables across many functions in the organization
� 7+ years of leadership experience in Strategy and/or Corporate Development and technical/functional expertise in one or several of the following areas within the healthcare sector: Strategy, financial analysis, public policy, mergers and acquisitions,
Bachelor's degree with MBA, MPH or other relevant Master's Degree from a top program highly preferred
