Facebook’s Business Applications team is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust enterprise products that run our company, most of which are built from the ground up. As Facebook adds to our product offerings we are looking for a leader to build a new team focused around building solutions for a world class buying experience. We are looking for a leader with experience building and scaling customer friendly shopping, buying, and user experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and lead a team of product managers and engineers building shopping and buying experiences for Facebook customers
  • Define and execute on product strategy and roadmap for e-commerce systems
  • Be a subject matter expert on e-commerce capabilities like the online store, point of sale and customer service tools
  • Design and build the technology that operates our manufacturing lines at manufacturing partners
  • Communicate strategy and roadmap across Facebook's hardware product teams
  • Manage business expectations, resolve conflicts, and keep businesses aligned across Facebook's family of hardware products
  • Establish a metrics based organization, develop key operational metrics and push for continuous improvement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years proven hands-on experience managing technical teams
  • Demonstrated coding skills in one of the following: C++, Java, JavaScript, or PHP
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience building e-commerce applications that scale hundreds of thousands of customers
  • Demonstrated experience building systems for commerce, supply chain customer service for consumer products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building enterprise systems and establishing operational processes
  • Familiarity with supply chain planning, logistics and inventory management systems
