Job Description

Responsibilities

The Nurse Director assumes 24 hours responsibility in directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of a nursing unit. The Nurse Director directs, supervises and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and he/she supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department. The Nurse Director plans and administers the annual budget in collaboration with the Divisional Director Nursing. The Nurse Director integrates evidence based practice utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.\r

BSN required; MSN preferred\r

Current Florida State RN Licensure\r

BLS \r

Certification in specialty preferred\r
