Position Overview

The Director, Networking Solutions is responsible for driving the sustainable enablement of the Zones sales and technical teams in support of the Zones Solution Environments strategy. The PPM Solutions Director must serve as an evangelist, thought leader, and enabler for the technology both internal and external to the company. As the leader and evangelist, the PPM Solutions Director creates awareness and builds a market for the solution. This Director is the company’s key resource for strategic direction and tactical solutions across the Zones managed partner ecosystem. As an enabler, the PPM Solutions Director creates tools, cultivates skills, and designs the GTM specific to the Solution Environment.

The Director, Networking Solutions serves in a corporate position but must work closely with the regions and therefore must be able to create value through both direct and indirect team building - including but not limited to interfacing and working closely with our Strategic Technology Partners.

The Director, Networking Solutions is primarily responsible for:

Solutions Development

  • Market services to brand Zones Target Opportunities and solution capabilities
  • Enable sales teams – sales leadership, Account Executives, ATEs, BDMs – across all segments
  • Enable Solution Architects – to support and close on the technical aspects of the Solution Environments
  • Understand OEM strategic partner programs, solutions, product portfolios
  • Define go-to-market strategy, inclusive of market segments, product positioning, competitors, unique value proposition
  • Assess customer pain points and market demand to define compelling services offerings
  • Develop and execute on product marketing and communications programs
  • Perform industry marketing analysis and understand key trends and implications
  • Measure and deliver on solution growth and profitability expectations
  • Enable partner engagement at all levels especially partner field force, Solution Architects, Account Executives and customers
  • Create sales tools: e-publications, case studies, data sheets, technology and process presentations, videos, solution positioning collateral, competitive differentiators and relevant content to promote the offering

Product Management

  • Identify strategic and emerging manufacturer partnerships and key players necessary to achieve and sustain thought leadership within the GTM discipline for solutions
  • Evaluate, initiate, grow, and manage partnership opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute on opportunities to optimize or expand a line of business

We are se eking candidates with the following experience and skills


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred


  • 7 - 10 years of progressively successful career progression within an IT related industry
  • Experience working in a high growth, fast paced environment and industry
  • Deep knowledge of the specified area which is being led
  • Experience in program management and solutions development
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective
  • Understanding of the IT industry, market, customers, competitors, suppliers, partners and capabilities of the business
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and management
  • Professional, business-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners, and peers
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Previous success developing partnerships between different, independent entities
  • Previous success in sales and relationship-building roles
  • Previous success in managing and delivering IT projects, on time and on budget
  • Experience in working with Strategic and leading Advanced Technology Partners is a must
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, challenging work environment
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies, products, and processes with little notice
  • Ability to exercise judgment in determining appropriate course of action
  • Must be able to present to large audiences at customer events


  • Expert-level knowledge within segment technology within the spectrum of the Solution Environment
  • Demonstrated experience and skills at creating distributed solutions across technical disciplines
  • Issues authoritative, publishable opinions on emerging technologies and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to guide teams through multiple vendors’ product strategies
  • Contributes to or shapes industry standards and is recognized as a technology leader.
