The Director of Diversity & Inclusion will report to the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and the CEO, or designated hospital leader. This role supports the expansion and integration of the Corporate Office of Diversity & Inclusion's plan including clinical, operational, educational and research methodologies for their organization and across the RWJBarnabas System including: 11 acute hospitals, 3 children's hospitals and the behavioral health hospital. The Director will support the system's commitment to treat everyone with respect and dignity while appreciating and embracing the differences, as well as the similarities, that exist among us, so that RWJBH continues to provide high quality, equitable, culturally-competent, patient-centered care to its diverse patients and communities.
Responsible for the successful implementation and ongoing management of targeted Diversity and Inclusion initiatives under the guidance of the Chief Diversity Officer and their hospital's leadership team. The primary focus of the role will include hospital site project development for patient experience, population health, local supplier inclusion, operational alignment and excellence with the goal of health equity within the populations we serve as well as the healthcare System's workforce.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree with three (3) or more years of Diversity & Inclusion experience. Master's degree preferred. Management experience including team building, plan development, and project execution in healthcare setting preferred. Requires 100 % onsite accessibility, including system-wide travel as scheduled and in accordance with business needs.
