The Director will be responsible for refining and executing the Storage System all flash Flash strategy and plans, as well as continuing to progress the hybrid midrange solutions across Distributed Block Storage portfolio. This executive leader will be responsible for expanding All Flash offerings to additional use cases and routes to market; reversing revenue share decline from hampered XIV transition; upgrade of clients to All Flash models across the portfolio at all disk tiers; Aggressively adjust investments to align with Flash commoditization to be more cost effective and competitive; Shift GTM balance: protect existing client base, grow into new generation workloads & data analytics and acquire new clients. This role requires collaborative influence across IBM, Systems and Storage as well as across WW GEOs with executives at GM, VP, Director levels across Sales, Development, Marketing, Finance, Brand, ISC, Business Development. Role influences execution WW and involves influencing senior executives and CEOs across the Clients, Channel Partners, Analyst and Technology Partners. The leader in this role must also influence peer VPs and Directors across business lines and functions including Sales, Marketing and Offering Management, as well as at the GM level. Given the nature of the complexity of the business, high degree of collaboration with Development, Sales, Finance, Legal, ISC and channel teams will be key. Requires strong partnership and collaboration with Power, TSS, Cloud, HealthCare, Research and other parts of IBM; US Federal (and other similar defense related agencies worldwide) command special attention at times

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Must understand key IT system architecture concepts and fundamental IT industry technologies. Five years prior experience as OM or product management leader. Exception development or marketing leadership will be considered in lieu of OM/product mgmt. Prior experience as 2nd level manager preferred.
