Overview

Gerber Technology is seeking an energetic and growth-oriented business professional to lead the Americas Digital Solutions Consulting Services Organization for its product lifecycle management and suite of software systems, based in North America.

 

Reporting directly to the VP, Global Digital Solutions Consulting, you will grow and lead a team of Consultants and Technical resources through customer implementations and ongoing software enhancement activities for Gerber’s PLM and suite of software product offerings.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Supervise the Digital Solutions Consulting Services organization resources in North America
  • Provide strategic direction in the formulation and deployment of short and mid-term strategic goals and direction for the Digital Solutions Consulting team
  • Maintain strong business relationships and work collaboratively across the leadership team, ensuring alignment between business objectives and Digital Solutions Services priorities
  • Drive performance of your team through KPI’s and metrics, defining critical business activities, setting objectives, and managing and measuring against these objectives
  • Responsible for operational planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizing knowledge transfer, and negotiating the allocation of resources

 

Team Management

  • This is a hands-on role, and involves managing a skilled team of Consultants and Technical Leads, assigning resources to projects and managing the overall work volume of the department to achieve maximum utilization, revenue generation, and profitability
  • You will be the face of Digital Solution Consulting to the customer, participating in the sales and SOW (statement of work) processes, establishing customer policies and negotiating terms and agreements, and prioritizing customer workflow
  • Enable the team and motivate them to make timely and well-informed decisions required for success
  • Approve Digital Solutions Consulting team time sheets in a timely manner
  • Deliver planned and revised monthly forecasts for the Americas Digital Solutions Consulting team
  • Schedule, hold, lead, and document project team meetings
  • Create and deliver status reports and presentations of assigned projects
  • Establish effective strategic relationships with the client and critical Project Managers and resources
  • Collaborate with global upper management teams and senior cross-functional resources

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Fashion Design, or other relevant field required; MBA or Masters in Technical field strongly preferred.
  • PMP Certified a plus
  • Must have 8+ years of project leadership experience at the Consultant and Project Manager or levels in professional services, business development, or a technical function. Experience should include leading teams within a matrix-based environment across multiple disciplines to accomplish company objectives
  • Proven experience as Managing Director or other managerial position
  • Expertise in the Apparel and Sewn Goods industries
  • Experience maintaining project plans, issue logs, risk identification, status reports, forecasts and margin analysis
  • Experience aligning of technology towards business objectives
  • Strong organizational, analytical and program management skills combined with technical aptitude
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills that are audience appropriate applying the style and delivery necessary to impact the audience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with C level executives
  • Exhibits a can-do attitude with excitement and passion about work
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and apply outside perspectives to solve business problems
  • Adept business acumen; ability to understand, articulate, and apply business concepts
  • Focus on quality and improvement via accuracy in the delivery of project plans, issue logs, risk identification, status reports, forecasts, and other required documentation
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership; understanding your role on the project team
  • Understanding of when and how to escalate issues, manage risk and understand impact of decisions
  • Expected travel of 40% or more
