Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the digital analytics team to derive actionable business insights through data that will help the organization gain efficiencies in online marketing channel spend, such as paid search, affiliate, display and social media
  • Influences business decisions and helps increase sales based on learnings from testing various market strategies and tactics through the buyer purchase funnel and creating target custom segments
  • Assures that business plans, budgets, projects, and service objectives align with enterprise and departmental strategies, and goals
  • Guides team to increase sales, incremental active buyers, and ROI by various marketing channels to serve as a tool to make faster data orientated investment decisions
  • Partners with cross-functional teams such as product/market channel leads, and department leaders to review weekly business performance; make changes to execution of strategy resulting in achievement of business goals
  • Develops and controls the operating budget for assigned function(s)
  • Leads the operational and strategic planning team to prioritize and allocate resources to accelerate sales growth
  • Analyzes historical sales data by different buyer segments and proposed product and pricing changes to drive sales
  • Provides leadership, planning, development, coordination, direction and establishment of policies and procedures for assigned area
  • Represents department with executives within the organization
  • Streamlines processes and identifies/executes on automation and time-saving opportunities to reduce non-value added work
  • Oversees an area that is highly strategic and has a high degree of organizational and/or customer impact
  • Directs multiple/complex efforts and assignments
  • Brings relevant resources from enterprise together to address issues
  • Establishes strategic direction impacting the enterprise
  • Leads committees or key organizational groups to address critical/complex issues

Additional Details:

  • Job may require travel via commercial transportation and/or driving motor vehicles
  • Job may require irregular work hours and travel outside normal business hours
  • May participate in company approved educational programs as applicable for continued personal and professional development

Required Skills: 

  • Strong understanding of data, outcomes and analytical way of driving results
  • Must be able to direct and guide team. Build the team to be leading with data rather than a support team
  • Knowledge of data sources, data flows – Operational, digital and customer data, familiarity with experimentation and visualization tools
  • Partner with business areas, product teams and stakeholders to drive decisions using data. Challenge oneself and others to drive the right behavior and
    outcome for State Farm
  • Innovative and motivate teams. Should have credibility and trust among business partners

Desired Skills: 

  • Business knowledge specifically P&C Underwriting and Actuary to guide cross functional teams on importance of certain measurements
  • Passionate about data and enthusiastic to tell story through the information/insights obtained using data
  • Technical knowledge specifically in pulling data, creating data assets and automation (mostly reporting)
  • Think out of the box
  • Good communication skills and tell the story rather than quoting numbers
