Q2 is seeking a Director of DevOps  in this role you will be tasked with solving operations and deployment problems with engineering and software. DevOps is a methodology and not a team, this role needs a leader that can drive that model into an existing development organization. This vital and crucial role encompasses both new development and operational problem resolution for high volume, highly scale-able systems. You will be pushed and challenged to be a change agent while focusing on requirements and alignment of technology and delivery of solutions swiftly and consistently. To be effective, you will need to have an in-depth understanding of IT operations and possess a solid understanding of high transaction infrastructure / application services, while utilizing a sound and practiced leadership background. The role is a part of a high performing team in a fast-paced fintech organization on the edge of a technical breakout.


  • Provide technical leadership and vision, mentoring, coaching, career development and feedback for performance management to solutions architects and DevOps engineers
  • Drive operational transformation, automation and continuous improvements
  • Work with all key partners to influence and integrate technical solutions to deliver hardware and software in a multi-cloud, hybrid, continuously evolving infrastructure
  • Drive architectural decision making, influence technology consumption and build solutions that solve complex problems with elegant, timely, quickly, thoughtful, reusable software
  • Partner with technical leaders to assess capabilities and needs
  • Build and integrate deployment capabilities and tools to streamline delivery of online services; where necessary, scope, partner and develop new capabilities but ensure alignment is made with responsible engineering groups
  • Lead and define application analysis for infrastructure design, capacity planning, monitoring and operational requirements


  • 10+ years of Software Architecture experience
  • Experience leading DevOps strategy initiatives
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment
  • Ability to depict the technical information conceptually, logically and physically
  • Customer and business focus, and demonstrated skills tied to leadership, people, communication, analytics and adaptability
  • Ability to retain composure under pressure in environments of rapid change and conflicting demands, communicate effectively with a wide array of individuals
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and customer service skills
