  • Direct oversight of a team of two, as well as influence an extended team of two-to-three international marketers
  • Successfully lead New Relic’s customer marketing strategy cross-functionally throughout the business
  • Spearhead a proactive pipeline approach to customer reference recruitment, matching the appropriate customers to the appropriate opportunities
  • Ensure and oversee the production of “win summaries” that educate sales teams in the details of key wins
  • Oversee the editorial process of case study creation, and alignment of those case studies to our value selling and solution selling models
  • Validate and uphold the content strategy built by the Content & Creative team with regards to the customer narrative
  • Working hand-in-hand with GTM operations and enablement, ensure the delivery of necessary technology and systems in support of the customer marketing program; including but not limited to a customer reference repository software or systems, any content management integrations, and social media tools.
  • Forecast a pipeline of customer references aligned to corporate strategy long in advance of earnings calls, customer conferences, internal presentations, product announcements and press opportunities, ensuring timely delivery of relevant customer narratives.
  • Maintain accountability for the enablement of sales, marketing and product teams in the use of customer narratives
  • Collaborate with sales and the account based marketing organization on customer planning, execution and ongoing program measurement and communication.
  • Control and oversee the responsible allocation of budget and agency resources


  • 7-10 years previous marketing experience with at least one year of customer marketing leadership
  • 2-4 years team leadership experience
  • 3 years in-house experience, preferably in a SaaS, cloud, or high growth company environment
  • Excellent skill in team management, mentorship and human development
  • Exceptional organizational influence skills
  • Outstanding ability to empathize with customers, sales teams, executives and PR professionals both domestically and across international markets
  • Excellent skill in narrative storytelling and editing
  • Thorough understanding of the sales and customer success processes and organizations
  • Previous brand, sales or PR experience a plus
