The Role


We're looking for a technical Manager/Director to lead a development team to build new cloud basedAnalytic solution for the Life Sciences industry, Central. Central is Veeva's data management platform we will use to deliver metadata driven analytics used to give our pharma customer a complete, end to end picture of their commercial life sciences universe.


You will build and manage this founding team responsible for expanding Central to become a global data warehouse with robust analytical reporting capabilities. You will need to make key architectural decisions to globalize the tool as well as define & refine features into ongoing releases.


For this role, we need a strong software engineering leader with management expertise, experienced in data management solutions, recruiting in fast growth environment, motivational skills to drive innovation, maintain accountability.

What You'll Do

  • Define and prioritize product vision & roadmap, collecting and synthesizing input from application leaders
  • Work in a fast pace, test driven environment
  • Design and develop new analytic subject areas for reporting and analytics
  • Work closely with Customer Success team to prioritize strategic improvements to Central to continue to grow and develop Central over time
  • Managing the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Bring the voice of the customer into engineering as they drive the creation of, and execution against, the product roadmap

Requirements

  • At least first line manager experience or higher
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, coach and lead a team to success
  • Technically inclined; general nature of working closely with technology solutions to better enable the
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels
  • Experience in researching and understanding market requirements to develop short and long termroadmaps and plans
  • Experience using SQL expressions to derive metrics
  • Ability to be able to translate business concepts into technical solutions
