Overview:

Boar’s Head Brand, the nation’s leading provider of premium delicatessen meats & cheeses, is currently seeking a creative and innovative candidate to join our world class team. This position will evaluate the distributor training programs to determine the degree to which the current programs effectively deliver on the needs and objectives defined by the company. A successful candidate will drive strategic thought leadership for the training function, introducing new functionality and capability, while ensuring that training activities align with organizational strategy and are conducted timely in a quality fashion in the field and in homeoffice.

Job Description:

Essential Functions

  • Assists in the development of the strategic direction for the Distributor Training and Retail Training Teams.
  • Familiarity with e-Learning systems, administration and downstream impact. 
  • Oversees the creation and implementation of training materials, programs and processes and engages external third parties as needed to address role specific training needs. 
  • Oversees the development of the training teams and directs the team
  • members involved in training for new stores and implements processes and
  • procedures to ensure success.
  • Align key leaders and stakeholders on the implementation and training
  • plans for key initiatives such as new menu implementations, new 
  • procedure or equipment roll-outs, and executes against the plan.
  • Develops and delivers training programs to develop the capabilities of Distributors, field leaders, and team members at home office.
  • Develops and implements in-store, management, and multi-unit training and development programs.
  • Assist in the development and oversight of the Distributor Training budget; administer and manage the expenses related to the Distributor and Retail training programs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Training; Masters preferred.
  • 10 plus years of experience in management and training in the retail and food service industry is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
