Job Scope:

The Director of Cross Platform Sales will report to the Vice President of Sales and lead new media sales efforts for NBC Sports Washington. This position will be the subject matter expert for all multi-platform sales solutions, and oversee digital ad revenue in conjunction with local and national sales teams. Expected to meet or exceed revenue goals for digital, social, live streaming and any new multi-media platforms (e.g. podcasts). This position will act as a key conduit between sales and content teams on creating and executing sellable opportunities around digital and social initiatives.


  • Work with VPOS, LSM and NSM on multi-platform partnership ideas to drive overall team revenue
  • Primary liaison between ad sales and internal stakeholders to effectively translate brand/client needs into actionable cross-platform sponsorships
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership, content leadership, digital and social teams to build original, compelling advertising solutions and go to market initiatives
  • Work with VPOS to lead future sales opportunities in timely manner
  • Direct multi-platform sales strategy through ideation, pricing ("digital rate card"), packaging, inventory management and reporting
  • Oversee process and execution of integrated campaigns with support of Sponsorship Manager, and other Sales Coordinators.
  • Meet revenue goals through live streaming, branded content, site, app, video, podcast, and all non-traditional platforms.
  • Actively sell sponsorships and work closely with Local Account Executives & National Sales Teams.
  • Cultivate and grow relationships at multiple levels of client organizations to sustain long-term growth
  • Develop innovative business development strategies and new products, within or outside of advertising sales to generate incremental revenue
  • Identify key advertising and digital trends to be the subject matter expert and educate the sales teams on how it relates to our team.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Consultative expert in the digital space
  • Strong presenter with sales experience
  • Thorough knowledge of digital ad ops
  • Knowledge of Sales Force and Wide Orbit
  • Knowledge of Washington DC sports landscape
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar or related industry
  • Ability to create sales presentations using PowerPoint
