Director, Credit & Risk, NA Land
The primary role of the Director, Credit & Risk, North America Land is to provide leadership and guidance to credit and loss control staff in the application of WFS credit policies and procedures, while working collaboratively with sales, financial and commercial operations, marketing, and other land segment stakeholders to ensure that commercial opportunities are maximized when considering reward vs. risk.
The key responsibility of the Director, Credit & Risk (LAND) will be to lead and/or participate in credit and risk decisions, and assist WFS Dealer, C&I and Wholesale/Bulk segments in driving ambitious and profitable growth. The Director, Credit & Risk (LAND) will achieve this by taking direction from the SVP, Credit & Risk along with business segment leadership. The Director, Credit & Risk will also provide support to the SVP Credit and Risk in developing a high-performing North American credit team, developing credit policies and procedures, and integrating the credit functions of future acquisitions.
Lead the credit and loss control function supporting the dealer, C& I and Wholesale/Bulk business.
Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the policies and procedures dictated by the SVP of Credit & Risk as they relate to credit underwriting, and loss control.
Participate in all daily credit and risk decisions through involvement in the credit underwriting, loss control, monitoring and reporting activities.
Lead the establishment and control of credit limits and payment terms
With close alignment to Exposure Control team, participate in the Successful collection of past due monies
Represent the risk management voice in business discussions and decisions
Suggest meaningful Credit and Risk metrics and associated reporting to monitor WFS Land segment Credit and Risk results and exposures; develop metrics and reporting as directed
Other duties as may be assigned or required
Work with 3rd party collection agencies in the placement of delinquent accounts, participate in settlement negotiations and direct payment application.
Participate in the Fixed Forward Pricing (FFP) credit analysis, review and recommendation process to ensure opportunities raised by the commercial team meet corporate risk and reward objectives
Work with 3rd party credit reporting agencies for current and relevant credit reporting information, enhancements and other tools to enable prompt and effective credit decisioning based on WFS risk guidelines
Represent the Credit and Risk function in migration, acquisition and divestiture activities
Receive data from the finance and commercial teams. Perform risk analysis, and control and maintain policies and procedures
Receive or obtain reports from multiple systems to evaluate compliance of policies and procedures
