This role will report to the Head of Brand Strategy and be a leader on the creative and marketing team with a growing team of direct reports. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with the founders, creative director, product development, and others on the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the content strategy across brand messaging, marketing, and editorial
- Own our brand voice and style guide to guide all copy and content initiatives
- Develop strong, consistent brand narratives that educate, inspire, and create meaningful engagements with our customers
- Help create strong creative briefs with a clear creative vision and strategy, and oversee the creation of all assets that involve content and copy across all channels and mediums
- Oversee our editorial publication, the S Life mag, setting editorial strategy and priorities with our S Life editor
- Partner closely with our creative director and photography team on all visuals, engaging on art direction and production as needed
- Be an active individual contributor, writing and editing copy
- Partner with the broader marketing team to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all consumer touchpoints
- Play an active role in guiding the creative process from start to finish; help refine the process to reflect best practices and streamline workflows
- Leverage and lead external agency relationships and freelance talent as needed
- Manage and mentor a team of 4+ talented copywriters and content creators
- Be a champion for great creative work and continually push the boundaries on what that means
Qualifications:
- 10+ years as a creative leader in such areas as creative strategy, content strategy, content creation and/or copywriting
- Experience in food, consumer products, or beauty; D2C and mission-driven business environments strongly preferred
- Experience overseeing copy and content direction for a wide range of channels and mediums, including email, social, print, web, paid media, out-of-home; static assets and video. Particular depth or specialization in digital assets and paid media preferred
- Proven track record of applying an audience-focused, strategic approach to brand-building, defining strong brand narratives, and storytelling
- A deep understanding of creative workflow, skill sets, synergies and interdependencies
- Self-motivated and looking to take initiative to drive new ideas, take risks, and test-and-learn
- Able to deftly navigate ambiguous situations, prioritize needs, identify roadblocks, and proactively find creative solutions
- Passionate people-manager who can lead, inspire, and grow a team of creatives
