Summary of Role

Seeking a dynamic, experienced regional pricing & profit management director with strong leadership skills, pricing transformational experience, strong financial acumen, and process orientation to drive the building of new pricing capabilities in the business. Working closely with the CFO Tools & Storage North America and commercial teams the candidate will have a high level of comfort with all levels of the organization to communicate the building of new concepts and strategies. As the pricing & margin leader for the organization you will be accountable for assessing and building a transformational roadmap for the Region's margin management & pricing capability, identifying and driving pricing improvement activities including price strategy, margin improvement and price effectiveness across the organization.

Primary responsibilities

  • Provide regional leadership for profit margin management & pricing including accountability for building sustained pricing capability, leveraging analytical systems and platforms like SalesForce and QlikView to drive effective margin management & price execution.
  • Build, communicate & execute market level pricing strategy and profitability improvement plans to support the Regional Operating Margin Plan.
  • Lead market delivery of Pricing Roadmap projects driving a go-forward profit management process with more intelligent & automated pricing models using predictive analytics & machine learning.
  • Liaison with the stakeholders to develop and implement pricing and analytical techniques to manage margin and price effectiveness.
  • Implement and design the pricing systems and architecture to optimize the processes that support ongoing price execution.
  • Increase awareness & accountability across the business using pricing analytics and train teams on using pricing analytics to manage profitability using platforms & tools like SalesForce & QlikView.

Drive programs to reduce profit leakage in customer programming while balancing sales growth & margin rate optimization.

Technical/Functional skills

Pricing Concepts Well-developed understanding of pricing management concepts with proven ability to carefully and logically assess risks, benefits and alternatives

Analytical Skills Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial data and interpret as relevant data points in review and approval consideration.

Decision Making Demonstrate the ability to make informed and logical decisions quickly and effectively in addition to communicating justification and risk assessment.

Problem Solving Demonstrate ability to quickly grasp and understand unique and complex request requirements that need to be resolved in a short period of time in a highly competitive environment.

Time ManagementHighly organized with a keen sense of focus and ability to meet required goals under time critical deadlines in a stressful environment.

Communication Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills. Political savvy and ability to vary communication style for various audiences.

Systems Strong recent & related experience with MS Office (i.e., Excel & Word) and SAP. Development and use of Database and/or analytical software experience. Experience with Salesforce & QlikView a plus

Teamwork Demonstrated ability to work in a team or collaborative work environment and coach/train others.

Self-Starter Must be able to work independently

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience. MBA Preferred. Minimum of 8+ years work experience in Pricing, Finance, or Accounting. Leadership experience highly preferred. At a minimum, demonstrates leadership potential in addition to technical acumen.

Salary

$221K - $260K
$170K - $200K base, +Other bonus
