The Administrative Director of Research will provide leadership, strategic direction, and financial oversight for the conduct of clinical research across all Deaconess entities. The Administrative Director of Research will collaborate with Deaconess investigators and research affiliates to access leading-edge treatments to enhance the quality of patient care, outcomes, patient experience and patient safety, while ensuring the compliance with federal and institutional regulations and standards for Good Clinical Practices and the Protection of Human Subjects.
Reporting to the CMO of Deaconess Clinic, the Administrative Director of Research is expected to contribute as an integral member of the senior leadership team of Deaconess Clinic in setting and executing the strategic direction of research collaborations for the health system. The Administrative Director of Research will be a visible and transparent leader who can build strong, empowered and accountable research programs across multiple therapeutic areas throughout the health system. She/he will also be responsible for driving the financial viability and growth of the organization’s clinical and translational research initiatives.
Successful candidates will possess strong financial knowledge and leadership expertise ideally gained through extensive experience as a research executive in a large, sophisticated multi-specialty research organization. Experience in clinical trial procurement and negotiations, as well as the development of community-based research collaborations is a plus.
