As Director, Clinic Operations - Contact Center Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of centralized non-clinical support departments for Scripps Medical Foundation (SMF) medical offices including Referral/Authorizations, Pre-Registration/ New Patient Scheduling, Call Center and Specialized Scheduling. You will work with the SMF leadership team to ensure support operations are meeting cost, quality and service objectives. You will provide leadership and direction to managers, supervisors and leads to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations, quality outcomes and internal and external customer service. Collaborate with Sr. Leadership team on strategic goals and SMF Contact Center expansion activities. This position is focused on centralized service delivery, analysis of metrics and development of daily management system will be a key priority for this role. This is the ideal position for a respected leader with deep experience in senior management positions leading all aspects of contact center operations.

This full time Director position will be located in La Jolla with teams throughout San Diego County.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Bachelors degree plus five years of direct management experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to effectively direct healthcare business and operational practices.
  • Ability to develop long-term plans for healthcare operations. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other applicable systems.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • Masters degree and specific skills/experience in practice unit's medical specialties preferred.
  • Epic working experience highly preferred.
  • Ambulatory medical office and central call center/phones experience.
